Any one out there have the real answer to this?
I attended the Xena Convention on Saturday,
Jan 14th when Renee appeared o stage. At that time
we heard the news about the new baby -but I was
shocked to hear her talk about her "boyfriend".
All along I thought she was happily married to
Steve Muir. Are they in fact still married or
separated or divored? If they're not still
together-that seems really sad to me . I read that
Renee said that Steve was her "soul-mate". I'd
really appreciate any anwers on this-thanks anyone

I'm thoroughly confused about this myself. I saw her IMDB listing recently updated to indicate that they were divorced, and I thought she had finally publicly acknowledged what had seemed pretty obvious for a while. Now the bio seems to have changed back to saying they're still married. It sounds from what you said, Lynne, that Renee's talk of a "boyfriend" should settle the matter, but the listing change must have happened after the convention. (I thought I knew who the boyfriend is, but now I'm not so sure.) I wish Renee would just be a little more up front about things like this; in her interviews she jumps through so many verbal hoops to try to avoid the subject that she turns it into the elephant in the room. I know it's not really our business, but stillgive us a little credit. You know?

if you watch her at conventions and during xena interviews, she never wears her wedding band, lucy always does, but since 2004 i have never seen her really wear them ever so maybe she is and is just hiding it or somthing, but i defianlty waould like to no myself.

I was recently (March 14, 2006) looking to see what new paintings Renee was selling on Ebay. Up until now, I had always assumed she was happily married. However, on the ebay page where she has her painting listed, there is a little question and answer sections where people can ask her about what she's selling. Someone asked her what the proceeds of the painting were going to, and here is what she said:
"hello, no, i don't think lucy nor rob has seen this one, and the proceeds from this painting are going towards the little project in my belly. being a single mom of two (almost), i am going to try to paint more to take care of the family. thanks for the question. renee"
So I guess that just about covers it. It seems Renee is no longer married, and we shall all go cry at her terrible misfortune. Poor Renee.

The standard way to reply to this on Xena message boards, and at Renee fan sites is as follows:
"Renee is separated, or divorced, and pregnant by her new boyfriend, but we should respect her privacy and not talk about her personal life!
And did I mention that she's pregnant, and divorced? And has a new boyfriend?"
Then a dozen people chime in and post their own opinions as to why we should not talk about Renee's personal life.
Rinse. Repeat.
