You friggin people should get a grip. Protozak or whatever, if you think she should do better movies, write one. Or shaddup. Your opinion is usel16d0ess as you don't seem to understand a thing about any person let alone what an actor goes though to choose movies. And JJrambo, why are you acting like a representative of Renee? Saying apologize now! Don't make me angry! You are a sad person you need to pay more attention to your own life and leave Renee to fight her own battles. And I guarentee she wont be giving a crap what that clown says. Protototo dude You say don't hate me? I'll do ya one better, I won't notice you.

As 'im funnier in person' astutely pointed out:
"if you think she should do better movies, write one."
I wonder if what she gets offered is only 'sidekick of Xena' type roles. Or producers only see her as that.
What she needs is a fan who can write something both familiar and different, so she can be accepted in the role that while it is not the top billing, it is a co-equal 'top tier star' vehicle, but has some flexibility that shows she can be more than a sidekick.
Kind of like a TV pilot I've written.
Does anyone know how to contact her agent?
(Shameless of me, I know, but "Alien Apocalypse" was so excrutiating to watch, I felt compelled to do something.)
Will in Central Texas
(Britney Spears is pregnant. My alibi is established. Is your's?) -

You know - there actually HAVE been some examples of fans getting scripts to stars, since they are the only ones who really know what's best for the star's career.
And you can actually look up the deta238ils too. Just check out the back files of the LAPD - under "RESTRAINING ORDERS."
LOL!
Since her movie for Sci-Fi was the highest rated original movie in their 112+-year history. it would seem she's doing fine without anyone's advice here. -

People watched that sc-fi channel film because renee and the evil dead guy stared in it.But how many people enjoyed it.Sure i like to see renee in anything, but i fear many more low budget crap films like this and it might be a mc donalds drive through window.

most actors would tell you that it's more important to be working consistently over the course of several years than it is to be a short-lived star. perhaps she's keeping that in mind when she accepts film roles.

She obviously got the role from Bruce Campbell. He was in Xena and directed a few episodes. In his first book (check it out, its very entertaining) he even implys they did a kiss scene over and over again just so he could keep doing it lol.

Or Josh Becker gave her the role:

First that crappy girl power tv show now this ..eeehhhh.
Okaaaayyy
lol Interesting choice of words there.
Crappy Girl Power TV show. Well, thats a first. Never heard Xena described as such. Xena (and the females of Xena) are
WOMEN.
Not girls
Girl Power TV Show, that's rich. Really it is. Sounds more like The Powerpuff Girls tv show, but you know whatever lol
And doing
Xena
was Renee's breakout/most known role. So if you supposably know she can "do better", what r2000ole did you see her in that initially made you think so [that she was talented]? -

The technical way it worked was this:
- Josh wrote the script c. 1990
- Rob suggested some changes and additions, which Josh made, and gave Rob co-credit for story
- Rob promptly forgot about it for over a decade
- Josh's agent sends it to Sci-Fi
- It sits in some in-box for 2 years
- Josh's agent retitles it w/ a sexier, siller title, and resubmits at as something Bruce Campbell could star in; Sci-Fi jumps on it.
- Josh asks Lucy to star in it, but she passes, as she's getting ready to do 2 and a Half Men, BSG, etc. and this wouldn't really "do" anything for her
- Rob and Lucy tell Josh that Renee would be a better choice anyway
- Josh and Bruce gove the role to Renee
