Yes, she's been married a few times. Ask any beautiful woman how many marriage proposals they've gotten, and I'm sure you'd be surprised. Sometimes things don't work out. The reasons are between her and her husbands. Knowing why doesn't involve you, and won't improve your life one iota.
You come to this board to maybe learn a little about the person behind the actress, and some of you openly call her names and cast aspersions on her character. Really? Don't you think she reads this stuff? No matter how inured a famous person is to personal attacks, they still sting a little.
Her personal life is her business. If you like her work, then enjoy it, if you don't? Then get your entertainment someplace else, but sheesh, let the woman (the one you personally know absolutely nothing about) live in peace.

A very kind, respectful, and accurate post. Especially the bolded. All these asinine posts just tell me that these people don't get out much, or they aren't familiar with the lives of very attractive women. You do get hit on a lot, and some men jump to marriage on the third date, trying to lock it down.
All her marriages tell me is that she doesn't date long. She's not a dater and jumps to marriage, and then it doesn't work out. Same with Elizabeth Taylor.
There are so many serial monogamists out there, who go from one long relationship to the next without thought. It's just that they don't make it "official," so there's no record for people to point at and judge them. Gail probably believes in the ideal of marriage, and this is the result. If you're going to blame her, well also blame the men who keep offering (while ignoring all the other women who've never even received ONE offer). It goes both ways.
