hi mr o'halloran,
i first wanted to say that i think its great how you are willing to answer questions for fans on these message boards.i love superman and superman 2.superman 3 was ok but superman 4 wasnt very good.you did a great job portaying the character of non.i had some questions i wanted to ask and i apologize if they have already been asked.
1-i was curious of what you and the cast members of superman thought of the movie supergirl and if you or anyone other than christopher reeve and marc mcclure from the superman movies were offered a part in supergirl.
2-do you know if the salkinds ever planned on making a sequal to supergirl.considering the way the storyline was written it didnt look that way.i personally liked the movie and thought faye dunnaway and helen slater gave great performances and felt it should have had at least one sequal.
3-superman 2 was a great movie i have seen both the richard donner and the richard lester cuts and thought they were great.i was just curious is there any chance that both versions would be released combined into one movie?also was either director ever approached to direct supergirl?
4-my last question is ive read on other message boards that had richard donner stayed and directed superman 3 there was going to be a different storyline were you or any other characters from superman 1 and 2 supposed to return for superman 3 if richard donner was directing?just from the way superman 1 and the richard donner version of superman 2 was i can tell superman 3 would have been betterb68 than it was if richard donner directed it.i didnt like how they cut lois lane to 5 minutes at the beginning of the movie and 5 minutes at the end.i think its great that so many cast members defended richard donner the way you did.i dont know the whole story because i wasnt there but what it sounds like is that richard donner and several cast members were treated unfairly and it caused the last 2 superman movies to have poor ratings.
once again mr o'halloran id like to thankyou for taking time to answer questions for fans and im sorry if you have already answered any questions ive posted.take care -

1- I was never ask to do a role in Supergirl.
2- I really don't know much about that film. (sorry)
3- I would doubt that, personally I liked the Donner cut. I think Lester may have been ask about Supergirl.
4-There is no doubt that if Dick Donner had Directed111c two and three the way it should have been there would have been a much stronger series then there is today. If we would have went past Superman II no one really knows. -

hi mr ohalloran,
thankyou for responding to my questions.i rewatched superman and superman 2 the other night and i was curious about something with your character non was his powers supposed to be developing slower than the others?because in the scene where the character ursa burns the snake with her heat vision none tries to use his on the burned snake and it looks like he is having a hard time using it then when they get to houston and non is trying to use his heat vision to burn wood it almost seems like his powers are starting to progress but his heat vision is coming slowly.another thing i was curious about was i know richard lester and the salkinds did not return for superman 4 and gene hackman and margot kidder returned for superman 4 were u ever asked to return for superman 4 as well?its a shame what happened with richard donner because im sure that if he finished superman 2 superman 3 and 4 would have been better and we may have seen a superman 5 or even 6.plus i know u said u didnt know much about the supergirl movie but i wonder if richard donner had directed that movie it would have gotten better reviews than it did and if we would have seen sequals to it.i personally love the supergirl movie and it had great performances from talented people like faye dunnaway and helen slater.but anyway id like to thankyou once again for responding to my questions and id like to thankyou as well as the rest of the cast and especially richard donner for the great work you all did on the superman movies.i can still enjoy them to this day.i thought i read on another post that u still talk to richard donner if u do please tell him i said he did a great job on his work in superman.and once again thankyou for taking the time to respond to fans questions.i think it is very kind and great of you to do this for fans.
