Perhaps he just doesn't feel like doing another one. You have to have a burning idea in order to do something like Kung Pow, and well, he has already done it with the first film. So the concept and execution has been done, what could a second film do that the first didn't and what would it be for?
I would certainly welcome another Kung Pow but I can understand why he may not be bothered. -

Incorrect, Suzie negative pants,
He wrote it as a trilogy to begin with and intended to self finance them all but then sold to fox for the budget demands. he actually allways intended it..although fox would probably say no to a sequel because of the first one's lack of major success. Methinks they own sequel rights though.
I really want a sequal to see more oedekerk insanity, but i dont actually see how it'll work with new characters, unless doubles are used.
either way i remain optimistic. -

He even got to chose the movie he was going to use (Bruce Lee's The Big Boss), but the project got canned on pre-production and there's no plans to make it come back. Besides, Steve Oedekerk dosen't look so good, as he did back when he did the original KP, does he?

He could be posibly doing the sequel now since there is nothing new for his directing credits, I mean they were going through old Kung Fu movies before it was scrapped. They probably are still doing it but keeping it top secret.
