This man does not know how to put together a film nor write a screenplay. He has made 4 films and, to be fair, I have seen all 4 of them. I believe in giving people a fair shake. Howeverfour strikes and you are OUT!!!
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls- * 1/2 Horrid screenplay. Trying to be funny and a tad dumb and the film comes up blank, tepid, stoic, and boring. Very badly written.
Nothing To Lose - * worse film than Ace Ventura 2. Extremely bad screenplay. preposterous characterizations and situations. One of the worst endings of recent memory. Really, really, bad.
Kung Pow: Enter The Fist- * 1/2 A bad, boring, attempt to cash in on the popularity of the Scary Movie films. Dull, un-inventive, and a dud.
Barnyard - 1/2 * His worst film yet. Pure drivel from start to finish. Embarrassingly inept and clumsy. Can't find a tone to stick with and tries to be too many different kinds of films at once. The animation is horrid and badly rendered. The whole film is false and embarrassingly stupid.
He is a horrid writer/director in every way. Jim Carrey has done his worst work with him, as has Tim Robbins, Courtney Cox, Sam Elliot, and all who fall prey to this man's directing non-skills.
How does he keep getting good actors to work with him? Carrey I understand, as he was in the first Ace Ventura movie, but how does everyone else get suckered into it?
Also, directors such as Scorsese, Allen, Coppola, Spike Lee, and many more have trouble getting projects off the ground and have a hard time finding financing sometimes. How does this hack keep getting money? His films suck, are critically panned, and die at the box office.
He truly is the Ed Wood of comedy.
    2 ma hataz!

What about the movies and shows he wrote but didn't direct? Did you hate them too?
