If some Black men feel lighter skin tones are more attractive that's due to condition16d0ing from society or the media
So what? Some black men think brown skin is more attractive. And some feel that dark skin is attractive. Light skin black needs love, too. -

I'm a white guy, and I agree Judy Pace is a beautiful woman. I had a HUGE crush on her during her "Young Lawyers" days. Good actress, too:)
I'm also a white guy who thinks she was/is walking perfection.
No blah, blah, blah! -

How sad. I don't know from whence you come or what kind of Black people surround you, but "most" Black people can appreciate beauty in our community in all shades, and as one who saw Judy Pace in her "heyday", I can attest to her beauty and talent regardless of her shade of Black.
I hope you are able to find new friends, and/or more educated/aware/positive/informed/proud Black people who will hopefully counteract the negativity you've heretofore encountered.

Thank you. Let's stop the hate and tearing others down. It's quite petty. -

People were so crazy over Jayne Kennedy and I always found Judy Pace more beautiful but again brainwashed Negroes always admired women who were closer to whites color and found them more beautiful because of being a few shades lighters. I can bet if Judy was 2 or 3 shades lighter, then, everyone would h5b4ave been calling her a beauty and would know her. Most Blacks don't know her but they know Jayne Kennedy who didn't do as much and wasn't that talented.
Well, I think both Judy Pace and Jayne Kennedy are beautiful and talented. I don't want to put down or insult one to praise another. Can't they both be talented and beautiful?
And white folks try to brainwash blacks to think white is better, not a black woman such as Jayne Kennedy. White people don't care about black women of any shade. If anything, you are being brainwashed to put down a black woman (Jayne Kennedy) just to boost another black woman (Judy Pace).
Also, I don't praise Jayne Kennedy because she's "closer to white." I praise Jayne Kennedy because she's a beautiful black woman. There were other light skin black women during that time who were not as popular as Jayne Kennedy so it's not about solely skin tone. And there were also some light skin black women during that time who were not as popular as Judy Pace, so Judy Pace's dark skin put her above those light skin black women. Just because some people are colorstruck against dark skinned women, it doesn't make it right to insult or put down lighter skinned black women. Some people are also colorstruck against light skin black women as well.
Black women come in different shades and deserve respect and praise, especially from black people. Just because you preb68fer Judy, it doesn't automatically mean someone who prefers Jayne is wrong or brainwashed. They are both still beautiful black women. You act as though Jayne Kennedy is not black, and doesn't deserve support from her race. Jayne Kennedy can't help her color, and I don't think she should be criticized for it, just like Judy can't help her color and shouldn't be criticized, either. Both are proud black women.
Why pit the black women against each other when they are not getting half the opportunities as their white peers. You should be upset that both these beautiful black women were never given half the attention, respect, and praise as their white peers. Jayne Kennedy, herself, was pretty underrated. Why not aim higher for Judy? She should of been where her white peers were. Do you not feel Judy is good enough to compete with whites? Why only compare her to another black, who is underrated as well. Forget Judy being the most beautiful black woman, the question should be why wasn't she and Jayne considered the most beautiful women, regardless of color or race. Why don't you attack the white women who were considered the most beautiful women who were rated higher and got far more praise, respect, opportunities, and recognition than both Jayne Kennedy and Judy Pace put together? Why only tear down another fellow black woman's beauty and talent? Both Jayne and Judy were underdogs and undervalued.
btw Some accomplishments by Jayne Kennedy:
Jayne Kennedy was the first African American to win the Miss Ohio pageant USA in 1970.
She was one of the 15 semi-finalists in the 1970 Miss USA pageant, which was a rarity for a black woman.
She was one of the first women - black or white - to infiltrate the male-dominated world of sports announcing with a role on The NFL Today.
She was the first black women to appear on Playboy magazine.
She was one of the first black women to have and produce her own exercise videos.
She had contracts with Coke, Tab, and Diet Coke.
She worked for the Children's Miracle Network, where she raised millions of dollars for a lot of hospitals.
She's a very talented actress, and I think she's a very classy, elegant and sophisticated lady.
I think there's room for all black women to be beautiful and talented, without putting the other one down. Both Judy and Jayne are pioneers and a credit to the black race, and worthy of praise and respect.
Also, many publications, fans, and critics alike have called Judy Pace one of the most beautiful women ever to appear on screen. In the 1970s, she was lauded as the personification of Black Beauty but, most importantly, she has both been recognized as, and has proven to be one of Hollywood's more venerable actresses.
Judy might not be as known as Jayne, but she still gets credit and respe5b4ct, in my opinion. I respect them both. -

I haven't read through any of the posts yet about Judy Pace and might not have to because in my opinion, msladysoul is 100 percent correct.
I'll put it this way: If I could 'ask' God, the computer design expert - whomever - to create a perfect, stunningly beautiful woman for me, there's a 99.999 percent chance Judy Pace would be the angelic-like female who would be sent my way.
And I'd be as happy as a person possibly could be.

I just saw "Cotton Comes To Harlem" the other day and was shocked I had never heard of Judy before. How is it that she didn't become a bigger star?! She was so unbelievably gorgeous when she was younger and seems like a good actress too from what I've seen.
