I was watching top 100 songs of the 1980s this morning , and I found out that he had passed away..I really liked him, and it's really sad to see a young person leave this world when they are not ready.
    RIP.ROBERT PALMER
GOD BLESS STEVE IRWIN 2006 May you rest in peace with the angels and your sweet dog SUI

From what I understand from news reports at the time, it was not drug related.
      Just a medical thing.

You're right, there was never anything suspicious about his death, he had a heart attack most likely related to high blood pressure and decades of heavy smoking. It's very sad he died so young but there's not really any mystery involved and definitely nothing scandalous.

I heard somewhere that he died during a sexual intercourse, is that true?

            No.
According to the reports I read, he was just given a clean bill of health the day before (or several days before) by his doctor. He went out to dinner with his girlfriend and when they got home, he sat down on the couch. When his girlfriend came out of the other room, she found him dead. Thats all.
What sucks majorly about this, is he was my favorite singer in the 80's, and he died on my daughters birthday. Bleh.

In addition to liking a smoke and a drink, he had become paunchy and had a penchant for pasta (sorry for the alliteration). He lived close to Italy for the last 15 years of his life and so he could indulge his appetite often. The combination of smoking, drinking, and abdominal fat would have put any middle-aged man at risk. Although he had gone to his doctor for a check-up, he hadn't had a heart scan or anything specific to detect coronary trouble brewing.
So, when he was in Paris he would have had a heavy, rich meal, accompanied by tobacco and alcohol, and a stroll back to his hotel. That p2000ushed his heart over the brink. At least he died quickly and probably with only a short surge of pain.
I've done a little research to figure this out, obviously, because it troubles me that he vanished while relatively young. Somehow being able to map out his final moments and the factors contributing to his death is comforting.

His heart arteries likely filled with plaque over the years from all of his smoking. Pasta or no pasta I personally know a few people who started smoking in Highschool and then started getting heart problems in their late 30s and they were skinny as rails the whole time.

Too much NCSI. How is it that Italians, who all smoke, drink, and eat pasta, pretty much die at the same rate as everyone else on Earth? Sometimes it's just your time to die, that's all. Smoking didn't help, but he didn't die of cancer.

If he had used cocaine in the 80's it could of damaged his heart. Not all deaths caused by drugs happen right away. But drugs take a toll and can shorten your life even after you have stopped using them. I don't know if he did drugs in the 80's but a lot of people did.
You know that you are going to get old. You just don't realize how fast it is going to happen!
