Robert Palmer was a great Artist. It's unfortunate that he died so young. My question is ~ did he die from drug related causes?
    Thanks,

No. He avoided the typical rock star excesses of drugs and alcohol. He smoked quite a bit, however. He died of a heart attack, even though he had gotten a clean bill of health from his doctor only weeks earlier.

He did by all accounts avoid the idiotic drug crazed and drunken behavior typical of rock singers of his generation, however he was still a heavy drinb68ker and smoked like a chimney.
My guess is that his death was the result of a combination of things; alcohol, tobacco, diet and genetics.
It's a damn shame that the heart blockage wasn't detected before it got as bad as it did because there are very effective procedures to repair such conditions.
