Where does it say she's married? Show me your source, I have trawl the net for that piece of info and theres no mention of her being married.
It will still state that she's married regardless whether she is very private or not.

How stupid. Of course her husband's a he. The article says so and she was sitting next to and pointed to a man at the emmy's when she said her "partner."
And no lesbian refers to their partner as a husband except as a joke. That can even be taken offensively. Lesbians don't want to be men, they just like women.

She talked about it extensively in a few interviews following her Emmy. I think she never wanted to talk about her personal life that much but the Emmy win probably attracted her the kind of attention that leads to those questions and she thought it best to disclose this before it ended up in a tabloid or something.
