Asian cultures tend to be more conservative. That doesn't make them more repressive. A lot of traditional cultures are that way. Debbie Matenopoulos declined Playboy for that reason as well and she is Greek American. You don't see a lot of nudity from Asian actresses because that would shame their parents and also make them les desirable partners for respectable men. It's a shame that repression is measured by how loose a culture is. It's about modesty and self-respect, something Americans could use more of aka Miley.

I disagree on this one. Asian cultures teach that men are to enjoy sex and have many wives (it was only recent in China that concubines were outlawed), but women aren't supposed to enjoy sex. They're supposed to have sex just for procreative purposes.
It's a shame that repression is measured by how loose a culture is. It's about modesty and self-respect, something Americans could use more of aka Miley.
