Completely agree! I met him at PCC as well, and he was such a nice guy! Daniel Logan was really cool too!

I've met him a couple of times. In both cases they were fairly interesting so I really don't even know what to think of the guy. The first time he came to a party I was working security on. Someone told me who he was and I recognized the name but, didn't know what he looked like. Wouldn't have mattered anyway cause he was dressed up in this awful looking costume that appeared like someone visited Dollar General and slapped some odds and ends together. I asked him who he was and he told me. Asked him why he dressed like that and he said, "cause nobody bothers me if I walk around like this." It made a lot of sense, seemed rather clever, and was, if anything else, funny as hell. I kind of got the impression he was creative and smart.
A year later I had to sort of revise my opinion. He got in a fight. Several people came running and called for us and we ran. Someone told me who was fighting and, hate to admit it but, I wanted to see this dude fight! I was dissapointed to say the least. He was drunk could barely stand. Looked to me like neither he nor the other guy had an upper hand here, just your standard drunken brawl. Unfortunately we had to arrest them and he was one of those sloppy drunk types. Oh well, everybody has a bad day.

Yeah, that last part is a total lie and you know it. Nice try but. Next time, maybe pick a target who actually drinks alcohol if you're going to invent a story about them getting drunk and fighting.

Check the police records in Atlanta if you don't believe it. I don't know who told you he didn't drink, but they lied. I saw him drinking the first time I met him. Course he wasn't drunk then.

First off. It wasn't up to him to charge for the autographs. It was the show organizers and his management (who hasn't been on his management team for quite some time). If Ray had his way, he wouldn't charge at all. In fact, I've seen him give away quite a few freebies at the shows. QUITE a few!!! He was actually giving away a few last week on twitter!! GIVING THEM AWAY!! Sending them out himself!!
Secondly. Now, they're starting to charge for photos with the actors and not all238ow the actors to have photos taken with the fans while they're at the auto tables. Ray goes out of his way to let the fans to take the photos anyway for free! He can't stand that policy, but it's something that the convention organizers set up. It's not up to him at all!!
Sorry. I've known him for about 10 years now. It still bugs me to this day when people bring that crap up. IT WASN'T HIM MAKING THAT DECISION!! It was in his contract!! It was his management and the event organizers! He enjoys meeting and chatting to his fans! It's those little annoyan2000ces like the event "rules" about photos and autos that annoy him the most!!
Living well is the best revenge!

^^ I don't see why people don't get that concept. It irks me to hear complaints being pointed at the celebrities/actors/writers/whatever have you. If people really wanted to complain to some people that would actually change those poilicies in those contracts - talk to the ppl in the management/event organizers! better yet, protest, petition, don't go at all. There are a number of things that fans could do besides get mad at celebrities for charges that they're not in control of. Seriously people!
I personally have never been to a comicon, OR met Ray (unfortunately) but I would most certainly LOVE to at least go to ONE comicon where he's in it.

                    That's so cool to hear!
I hope to meet him at the Wizard World convention in Toronto [March 18-20].
I hadn't seen him in anything the last time he was in Toronto, but I've since seen "X-Men", "G.I. Joe" and "Star Wars: Episode I".
I'm so excited to meet him!

When I was 17 and Ray was 13, I sparred with him. I had 7" and 100 pounds on him easily, and in the entire session, I couldn't lay a hand on him even once. He's the first person I ever saw do the "Matrix duck" (leaning backwards far enough and fast enough to avoid a blow). Even though we only sparred for five minutes, I could tell then he was going to be incredible. My bright red calves from all of his kicks showed that muchheh

When I was 3 and Ray was 1 I sparred with him. He drank a ton of whiskey beforehand and then did every movie in every martial arts movie ever made at the same time. Then I poked him in the chest with one finger and he died. True story.

When I was 82 and Ray was 91 I sparred with him. We played Bob Dylan in the background as we did so, and then a small, but tactical team of bank robbers descended on us (we were sparring in a bank), and me and Ray took them all down.

Yeah he is a really fun guy to talk to. I met him at the SciFi Con in Stockholm, Sweden a couple of years ago.
He was slightly tired though of all the kids wanting autographs and pictures of darth maul. Not rude in anyway, but more that is seems he was thinking "will I only be remembered for darth maul for the rest of my career?"
So when I came up with a copy of Sleepy Hollow (he is the headless horseman when he is headless) he shined and we talked for like 20 minutes on movies he had done (except for SW :P).
I'm the honest type so I told him I thought that he got is ass kicked in Ballistic was stupid.
Nice guy all round I must say.

Just met him at Planet Comicon in Kansas City and he was absolutely wonderful. Like the original poster said he took the time to talk to every fan that was at his table and took pictures for free. He talked with my friend and I for a couple minutes and even recognized us on the second day of the event. He even had a mock lightsaber fight with a group of children that were there! So sweet and wonderful. Genuinely nice and down to earth guy and I hope he has nothing but success in the rest of his career, he now has a fan for life!

I just met Ray this weekend at the Super Megafest in MA. he was awesome, very nice guy. yes, I was charged for a (professional) photo and autograph, but everyone else there charged as well. It was the event, NOT Ray. He was warm, kind, excited and happy to be there. Some celebrities that were there did not appear do excited.
So, I agree with the original poster, Ray is a very cool guy and very nice.

Next one here to totally agree..
Met him yesterday at the Sci-Fi convention in Stockholm with my kids.
My 7 year old had his Darth Maul robe and his double lightsaber with him,
Ray asked how he was and asked if he could borrow his lightsaber for a second..
Of course he could, then he came out to us, flipped the lightsaber out in a cool way, made some awesome spins and moves before fistbumping my big-eyed, smiling 7 year old.
                                      Respect!

waiting in that really long line, being surrounded by pissy die-hard fans, giving up $40 for an autograph. Meeting him was a real experience. Not only he was super nice, but he smelled so good. I did get a picture with him, as well. I drew him, and I forgot to ask if he could sign it, so I kind of went beside his table, asking the lady that was with him, if he could sign it, and if it was extra She said "yes, normally it would", but she let me get it for free. He complimented it, of course. I can hear people behind me getting pissed. I know, I probably should've waited back in that line. Even while waiting in that line, you can feel the tension.
