From what i seen after going to autorama (A car show in detroit) It seems the movie jiin could be that answer to your post. Also he does talk in heroes but he was only in like 3 episodes.

I attended a Q&A with him at Comic Con and he said he doesn't mind not having a great deal of lines, he just completed the movie Jiin about a month ago and is looking into staring in Iron Fist, I hope to see him a great deal more in films

I think it's down to his accent. Being a Brit it doesn't bother me, I love the cockney accent but on the other side of the Atlantic it's not favoured much. Hollywood seems to want British actors that sound like Hugh Grant or Orlando Bloom boring.

I bet its the accent, yanks have a lot of problems with english shows (too impatient to listen at a guess :)).
Definitely will be the accent or line delivery, but since he's a brit I'm not surprised he gets cast as bad guys 🙂

I would'nt say its his accent, just his lack of acting experience (in terms of the delivery of lines i mean) a good example would be Ecks v Sever, granted the script itself is lacking Ray still seemed a bit inexperienced at line delivery, but in my opinion, he seems to be getting better at it with each project that gives him lines.
As to his accent being a problem, I doubt it would be that. I myself am an American and enjoy his accent, as well as other actors with accents. I would'nt be so quick to judge the masses on the states side about accents.

Not for nothing, but that is frankly BS. By your logic no British person would ever get a role in an American movie ever. The more likely reason is that his training is as a stunt/choreography guy and he has to work up to having lines just like everyone else.

They did a voice-over on him for Phantom Menace, probably for good reason..

Not to mention the rather more famous voice-over done by James Earl Jones.
Oh, wait. I did just mention it.
