Yeah About Schmidt starred a little known "indie" guy, you probably havn't heard of himhis name is Jack..no? Yeah, Jack Nicholson. That's the guy. Sideways was barely known too, it only jumpstarted Paul Giamattis career. But other than that, no reckognition, no Oscars..

Are you out of your mind? Since Election he's gone on to great critical acclaim. Do you do your research before posting?
Anyway, he's a great director. And it's Thora's loss that she didn't star in Election, since it was a wonderful movie. -

you are obviously looking for some attention.Election is easily the funniest and smartest high school comedy in years.
And i am happy that Thora birch did not play Tracy Flick.no way she would have done a better job than Reese Witherspoon.Reese is just flawless in that role -

his movies don't suck, they are ok, but he is clearly OVERrated, as well as sideways the most memorable moment from his movies for me is the scene with kathy bates in the hot tub
in my opinion he makes good movies but nothing extraordinary, not even memorable (except for Kathy Bates scene - pretty unusual even for indies made in US), so I don't understand all the hype around his name
though I hope that maybe desc1c84endants will change my opinion of him to the better - even from the trailer it seems to be a great movie, kind of the one I'd really want to see for the story and not just because of all the hype
