Totally agree with ya on that. I always wondered why he never got anywhere amazing following his role in Jurassic Park. It shocked me to discover he's been dead for nearly 7 years.
RIP Mr. Peck

The first role I noticed him was in Jurassic Park, but after that I saw some of his other movies too. He is a great actor and if you liked him in JP then you might like some of his other movies too.
RIP BOB PECK

Bob's best work was the monumental TV serial "Edge of Darkness" for which he won the Best Actor BAFTA in 1985. It's the best thing the BBC has ever made. If you like Bob, check it out.
I think he was one of the greatest actors of his generation. He was mostly a (highly successful) stage actor, often with the RSC. He wasn't "famous" until he was 40-odd. Ian McKellen cites him as the actor who has been the greatest influence and taught him the most. It's easy to see why. I'm just so sad I never saw him on stage. -

I'm glad to say i did see bob peck on stage. He was playing Macbeth at the rsc, back in spring 1982. Went there expecting to be bored, as was doing the play for my english lit. exams and came away amazed by his skill and power as an actor. He was able to inject humour into what is actually a gruesome play about muder and betrayal. Needless to say i then watched "edge of darkness" and again hes very much the powerhouse in the piece. Even went to see "slipstream". It was an underfunded sci fi, and it shows but his performance leaves the rest of the cast trailing, a bit like Jurassic park.
Couldn't believe it when i read he had died, and so young, just when he was starting to get the recognition. -
