Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Kal Penn

    Well that didn't last long.
Doing teenage/college frat boy stoner comedies lasted all of about 4 or 5 years didn't it. He had a nice run there from 2004 to 2008/'09. But now he's too old to be doing movies like that now and he doesn't seem to have the acting chops to play more dramatic roles. Plus being an Indian guy severely limits his possibilities in racist Hollywood. Though I'm sure he could make a great career out of being the first Indian male porn actor.

He made a career killing move and quit House when it was hot, because he's a giant douchebag. One of my favorite episodes ever on tv is when the House writers made his character kill himself. Lol no chance of return, beotch!

Hahaha Just to clarify here, the writers didnt make that decision. He wanted it that way, because he decided to go work for Obama, and didnt want the possibility of being asked to return to the role. Which he ended up doing in the finale anyway.

Hes an Indian guy in Hollywood. Hes probably limited to A) guys who don't get laid or B) terrorists.
I can't blame him for sitting on the sidelines, at least he has some pride.

Who turns down a job to work for the President in the White House?

I sure hope that is sarcasm or a rhetorical question.
Anyone who wants to grant favors in their role, and enrich themselves as a result, takes a job for the President.
You think Airbnb hired Eric WITHolder because of his legal acumen?
You think Amazon hired former Barry O spinmaster Jay Carney, and created a nebulous role just for him as "senior vice president for global corporate affairs", which is clearly just a glorified lobbyist, because of his lengthy experience as a so-called journalist?
                That's cute.
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
