Shooting for a movie can be scheduled around other committments where a TV series requires a much larger/longer commitment. I don't know if this is the case here but possibly. Or like the others have said, post production takes time. "The Call" shows as being produced in 2007 not 2010.

More like the creators/writers/studio were angry.
The only time they write someone out permanently like that is if someone pissed them off. I guess maybe his contract wasn't up but he wanted out.

Fox runs House, fox is the most republican corporation in America

Denise Crosby begged Gene Roddenberry to get her out of her Star Trek:TNG contract. Writers killed her off in an incredibly dumb way. Later, when her film career bombed, she got back onto TNG, in an incredibly dumb way. (first return was cool, but the second was fail).
Terry Farrell was killed off in DS9. She's renowned for leading numerous strikes to get fair pay from Paramount, wanted to step out for a break and got permanently dropped.
Could all be a load of balls though. -

The Fox Republican argument makes no sense - most Fox shows are actually very liberal (think Simpsons, Family Guy/American Dad, Arrested Development etc.).
I just don't understand why they couldn't have just had Penn's character go on vacation or something. The death seemed like, well, overkill. -

Fox runs those shows because of the ratings they bring in, thats it. Why do you think both shows take the piss out of fox so much, they constantly try to push the boundaries of what the fox studio representatives will tolerate.

Agree. Think about what made Fox Married with Children, X-Files, Malcolm in the Middle hardly conservative. But I do think the Simpsons give it to everyone without playing favorites (I remember an episode where Marge said advice from Bill Clinton was pretty lousy, and his character said he was a pretty lousy President).

Well he is trying to help Der Kommissar Sheik Obama to force imaginary prosperity on the Union of Socialist States of America Working on this AND working on House would be double dipping I'm sure.

Actually I have the definition of Marx, Mao and their kindred souls. By their own writings. I'm truly sorry that I have disillusioned you and laugh at your Messiah as he shows his true radical Marxist colors every day. Um, deal with it? Cope some how? Sorry, I don't have any other advice for you

OK, so it is clear that you know absolutely nothing about Marxism/socialism. And last time I checked a text, Europe is a continent not a country. But nice try! Next time please bring your "A game."
