What is your problem?
You're attacking him for quitting acting for the time being because you won't get another Harold and Kumar movie.
You're attacking him because OMG. He's a Democrat. How DARE he have a mind of his own and choose which party he wants to support.
You're attacking him because you're saying he's unqualified.
Have you considered that this is a man who's almost 32, who wants to do something different with his life?
How many people do you know who've hit their 30s and decided that maybe they'd like to try a change of career?
Kal Penn is taking a massive paycut to do something he believes in. That shows integrity, and it shows that he's doing it for the right reasons.
Get off his back, stop being entitlement whores who want him to do things for you instead of for himself/his country/his beliefs.
While you're at it, quit with the racist rantings. I'm astounded by the appalling comments that come from some people. He's Indian. Big deal. You were fine with it when he was acting, but now that he's looking at going into politics, it's a problem? Pathetic.
I'm sure he'd be shocked at some of the nasty reactions to his career move, not just here, but on other sites, too. I'm sure he thought his fans would be a little kinder about it. I just hope he doesn't see some of the things that have been written. -

I actually co-sign this. I don't get or see why he's called an embarrassment. Btw, I think the same people who own the people in the Democratic Party also own those in the Republican party.
What's more dangerous than sincere ignorance? -

I am attacking him because he had no business in getting the job he got other than he played the right cards with Obama. Obama is merely wanting to help a buddy out for campaigning for him. I don't doubt that Penn is very committed to the causes he believes in and it shows that he is dedicated to take a pay cut, but the nature of how he got this job is simply wrong. It shows politics as usual with patronage which Obama said he would fight against.

i just think he's an idiot for quitting a hit show mid season. it's quite possibly a career ruining move. i'm glad he's a concerned citizen, and politically involved but i hope he didn't burn bridges because i like him as an actor and would like to see him be successful.

It wasnt excatly mid season its near enough at the end. And not really a career ruining move. I cant see how really. If he wishes to come back to acting i think he's got a better chance than most.
Tbh i didnt like how it ended in house. All a lil rushed and crap but i guess it had to be. -

The guy was given a chacne to serve his country. How could anybody say no?
I actually applaud the guy for being something more than a Hollywood schmuck. He even taught a course at a university for a while as well.
