There's a Whitechapel 2? I had no idea, must keep up with the news. Excellent, I loved the first deries, am very pleased there will be more.

The second series began on 11 October in the UK. Its on ITV1 on Mondays and also available on ITV Player.
IMDB hasn't been updated with the details yet. :-Z

unfortunately it's been getting HORRIBLE reviews-
one critic asked "why was it even made?"
and the rating have been blah as well.
no matter to me, I'll still watch it!

I thought it was ok. The characters are good and brilliantly acted but the Kray storyline was pure farce and there was none of the tension from series 1.
Rupert played Chandler very well, especially the light switching scene, in the scene where he was on a sheer adrenalin high after the boxing match. The boxing match wasn't shabby either:)
