I remember when "Cheers" was going off the air and the entire cast made the night-time show rounds ALL together, and usually drunk. They appeared on "The Arsenio Hall Show". Hall asked Ms Pearlman why she was so quiet while everyone else had so much energy and personality. To a person, the cast all said Ms Pearlman was weirdly shy, and rarely spoke when not in front of the camera, and that she was always that way. Thats not an excuse to be rude or mean to fans but that might explain her being so 'uncomfortable' that night.

If she was pacing so much, she might have been having a stressful time.

there are s5b4ome that i dont' think are as outgoing as they appear to be, and i wouldn't call it shy, sorry, but i'd call it mean.
one time, mariah carrey was signing her latest cd release, and i went to get it, i never did get in, i was in line for four hours, i dont' blame her for thatbut there was this young girl in line, like about the age of 8and her friend, went ahead of us, because her mom came early in the morning, to get her a wrist band..or something like thatso they all got to go ahead, if you had one of the bandsthe girl came back, and told her friend, that maiah, didn't look at her, didnt' smile, nothing, so it really does remind me of RP.
i did get a star's autograph, this summermind you, he's not a big star, only in the world of soapsbut, he was so gracious in all of it, smiling at you, talking to you, and all kinds of stuff.
i used to be realy shybut, never, would i sneer at someoneand if she doesn't want a crowd to badger her, while going to the theatre, then, don't go, is what i have to say.
i know women, like her..that will sneer, if you look at them, the wrong wayand i have absolutely no sympathy for them, at all.
sorry, about rambling.
i never, liked carla, too..she was good on christmas choirbut, that's about the only charcter that she's played, that i've actually liked.

People have said I glare at them, too. I don't INTEND to glare at them, but I don't smile very much. When I DO answer people, I tend not to be smiling, either.
However
My friends have told me and countless other people that I'm actually a very sweet person once I actually start talking.
She's probably more shy than I will ever be in my entire life (I'll admit, I'm more quiet than I am shy these days.), but don't call her mean just because she happens to be giving off a mean look, intentionally or unintentionally.
In some Eastern cultures, smiling with your teeth is a sign of aggression, considering that when animals show their teeth, they're all but smiling.
Lay off of her. It makes YOU seem like a mean person compared to her. -

Ch5b4ild actress Mara Wilson costarred in the 1996 movie "Matilda" with Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito. Wilson's mother passed away from breast cancer while "Matilda" was being filmed. Wilson said Perlman, DeVito and their children were very warm and supportive of her.
