Many men were disappointed when she came out. I wasn't one of them, although I had a big crush on her, I'd always had an inkling. What I'm disappointed with is that her acting potential hasn't been lived up to. I was watching Hard Candy today for the first time in years and it reminded me of how talented this girl is. She needs to get back to making interesting films again. Ellen, you were the best young actress of your generation, and now you're fading into obscurity. Get it together! We don't care that you're gay, we don't need you to make that your agenda. Just choose interesting roles, straight or gay.
