Well he got away with it he didn't pay for his crimes.
He died peacefully, without regrets, without a sense of mercy. He died in the most cynical manner anyone can imagine. He claimed he did his crimes because it was for the "war" against Communism's sake.
I can't understand why some Chileans still support him. They probably live and eat because they work for the Government (or are vulgar ass kissers). Or they probably feel threatened that if they say something, they can get "killed" or something.
Society needs to have a memory and don't forget about human crimes. That is why Latin American society can't grow.
