I noticed her weight fluctuated, and at times she got very slim. On the Newhart show, it was consistent,though she was somewhat stocky(as in The Birds) In some subsequent tv roles,I was shocked at how slim she became, but to regain it.

I see her name came up on a weight-watch site when I checked just now. So it might be that she was a client of some slimming club. As you just remarked on my topic she is really slim in 'A Stranger Waits.' I actually liked her in 'The Birds' where she appears more full-bodied.

I'm almost certain (long time since I've seen a copy) that the photoshoot was featured in a TV movie with Rock Hudson and Melanie Griffith - "Star Maker". I recall the pictures running under the opening credits.
