i do
i know its your opinion but from what i grew up with (being a chicana) there was not that many chicano actors who we had to look up to too. he was really funny and talented and even though he died. he was also really popular to the latino community and all latinos were sad that he died it was like losing johnny carson to latinos. he did have a career as a comedian and a role model for my race (before he died) but i do wonder why is that there is a lot of stars who have been in this bussiness for a long time that deserve a star.
i hope hes at peace and happy hes son is a awesome star.
now ill shut up becouse you want me to. -

I agree with shadoekatt69, i was like 7years old when this show ran and i still never forgot it or Freddie or the chemistry between Freddie and Jack and i am not of the same race as Freddie but it doesn't matter the guy was great and had that special something about him that no one can deny even if you watch one of his shows today you can still see it. I don't know everyone who has a star on the Walk but i figure some idiot like Arnold has one who is a good actor as long as he is playing a couch and doesn't have to speak. So if he has one a great Actor like Freddie should certainly have one

Hey wait a minute, this guy was funny, so he was only a star for 2 years, who cares, he is still remembered and thats what counts for a star on Hollywood Blvd., have you ever seen some of the names on the walk of fame, some I've never heard of, Freddie was a comedic genius, he was one of the funniest men of the 70's, and for that he needs to have his star. Sadly he took his own life, but that only adds to his memory, sad but true.

Freddie Prinze was on a couple Dean Martin Roasts and I thought he was hysterical. He was certainly a very talented young actor.
It's a shame he felt he needed to commit suicide. He is mentioned in a few books where he is listed as one of those people who never felt true happiness and glory. -

The "Walk of Fame" is just a tourist attraction, it's not some honor handed out by industry experts and peers.
The applicants actually PAY to be included and to have a star placed. Their agents and PR people usually arrange the whole thing, it's no big honor.
So the criteria are loose and meaningless. It's okay to have a flash in the pan comedian on it as much as anyone else.
The only thing the WOF committee seems to turn down is lame reality show stars, as that would piss off the public too much.
So don't lose any sleep over it.
