I remember when Freddie Prinze died, it broke my heart. He was a great comedian. He did a show on HBO, Freddie Prinze and Friends, that was the funniest thing I've ever seen on cable. Anyone who wants to know why he was a legend should watch that show.

I was not alive when he passed on, but after a big hunt, I found tapes of him and watched it over and over. I think he was so funny and I am very sad he did not live longer so I could see him live on television. He is a lot funnier than Carlos Mencia or George Lopez. But I think their comedy could lead people to discover Freddie.

I was only a kid when Chico and the Man was on. Forgot all about it until the other day when I heard the theme song for the first time in decades. Then I looked back on Freddie's bio and realized he was only 22 years old when he killed himself.
Man. 22 years old. That just hits you like a ton of bricks.
30 years later, I still don't think there's a sadder Hollywood story. -

Such a tragic ending to a life that had so much promise. It is also sad that he did not get help. Since he burst on the scene that same time as Robin Williams, I like to think that today that he would have been just as successful and would still be going strong. Rest in peac, Freddib68e.

I agree. He was definitely ahead of his time, and had that 'It-Factor' which can only come naturally. I've listened to sound clips from the "Looking Good" CD and I laughed throughout. Not once did he bore me during his entire stand-up performance, and he zinged it with punchline after punchline.
So many years after his death, now that I've long passed the age of 22, I realize just how young he was.
I have yet to think of a signature. When I finally do, I'll include it.
