Excellent as Stan Jablonski on "Hill Street Blues", taking over from Michael Conrad in a role that seemingly was impossible to followbut he managed to make it his own magnificently.
Also a welcome sight in many movies and tv shows over the yearsmy favorite of his performances as a has-been tv horror movie host in "Gremlins 2: The New Batch"
    RIP Robert Proskyand thanks.

I met him in Philadelphia several months ago, when he was performing in "The Price" with his sons. A very classy man, and a good actor. The world is a poorer place without him.

My alltime favorite sports movie is The Natural. Robert was terrific as the evil "Judge" who was trying to cheat Pop Fisher out of ownership of the NY Knights.

R.I.P. Mr. Prosky! You will be remembered for all your great roles!
I'll always remember the "acting coach" who dabbled in the KGB
                in "Outrageous Fortune!" Hilarious!
                "Da! They screwed me too!"
You will be remembered as one of the greats!

or the dark and mysterious Judge in "The Natural""The fact is Pop Fisher is a jinxed man and neither you or all the Roy Hobs in the world is going to change that"
And the benevolent news director in "Broadcast News""I'm not suggesting the worst will happenbut someone with your brilliancegets nibbles now and thenmaybe you should start checking them out"

Very sad to hear about Robert Prosky. I mostly remember him from his stint on Hill Street Blues in the 80s "Let's do it to them before they do it to us."
I also remember him as "Bear" in The Lords of Discipline an underrated 80s flick that I think only I liked.
My prayers for his family. He'll be missed.

R.I.P. to one of our finest character actors.
This has been a horrific week of losses for show business. Nina Foch, Beverly Garland and Forrest J. Ackerman have all passed away within the last 7 days.
                                  My heart is breaking.

Agreed with all the sentiments so far. Along with Philip Bosco, one of the great modern 'oh THAT guy' character actors. Always could be relied upon to bring a warmth and grandfatherly humanity to every role he took on. You will be missed Robert!!
