Raven doesn't want to be labeled as gay? Really? Girl you sleep with women, you're in a relationship with a woman, and you're not interested in men. You're gay!

I agreeshe's trying to have it both ways. It's a form of self-loathing, not fully accepting she's a lesbian. Labels are on everything in this world, from clothes to jars of mayonnaise to people. Looking past the labels is the challenge, but acting like labels don't apply is a form of denial. Nothing against her personally, but she needs to loosen up and stop the denial game.

That confused me. People who usually don't want to put a label on their sensuality are either bisexual or pan sexual but I thought she only liked women. I have no problem being referred to as a heterosexual.

I think for closeted people who finally start to come out, they still have issue admitting to being Gay. I do not think Raven is bisexual. Lesbians do not like both sexes. Bisexuals do. I think she has issues being completely honest about being a Lesbian. It's strange to come out, then switch it up and say she doesn't like labels. The ONLY folks who pull that nonsense are those who are uncomfortable simply saying "Yes, I'm Gay." Personally I would LOVE to see more people of color coming out. Raven will figure it out.

Bisexual would mean she likes men and womenshe only likes women which makes her gay. What book would you like me to read? Me reading a book doesn't change the fact. Maybe if you used your brain a little bit it might make a difference.

To the moron who started this thread, go to 00:56 of this video.
She clearly explains that she is interested in human beings, in which there are only 2 genders to choose from: male and female. Therefore, that would make her
bisexual
. If she's including transsexuals in human beings, then you could call her pansexual. But the whole point of what she is trying to say is she doesn't like being labeled. Sexuality for some people isn't always black and white. It has many shades of grey. Many gay people aren't 100% gay and many straight people aren't 100% straight. Ever heard of the Kinsey scale? Here, learn something.

Now I do not understand what she was trying to say about not wanting to be labeled anything because in the interview she labels herself as an American. I'm just defending where she stands on her sexual orientation.
