People shortening it to Dino or Fish are a big part of why I changed it. Dinosaur Jr. went from referencing the band to making it look like some woppy 40's gangster name. I didn't like it. Fishinthepercolator referenced Twin Peaks, but I don't even have to explain why I didn't like that.
I hate when Fugazi gets shortened lol. Like why make the nicknames so ugly?
PhoQ was probably best that couldn't be shortened, but it was kind of a throwaway name to get away from Fish.
The ex was named Midsummerseve (forgot what she changed it to when she switched from Soapbox to the Horror board), and they teased about it sounding like a vaginal wash. At the time, I was nondeus, which they nicknamed nondouche, so our names kinda fit lol.
I learned that I had the wrong Latin translation for no God. -
