You people do realize that latino is not a race right? Never in my life have I seen so many people who are this ignorant. Latino is a cultural identity. Her parents are DOMINICAN and PUERTO RICAN, so YES she is a Latina. People do not realize that Latinos 1908are diverse group of people ranging from the lightest shade to the darkest. Gosh people STOP with this bull! The girl is Black AND Latina. One deals with the race (the color of her skin) and the other her ethnicity.

You are kidding right? You realize that "Latina" is not a skin color? Black is a skin color. Latina is a heritage/culture. Guess what? She's both.
Her father is Dominican (Hispanic!) and her mom is Puerto Rican (also Hispanic!) She even lived in her father's native Dominican Republic for many years.
Do a little research and think a little before you make these posts. -

Yeah, man! That whore! her skin is totally black, so she HAS TO BE BLACK no matter what her genetic ancestry says! right! and the Jews! beep them all I say!
lol, this is ridiculous, why are you classifying people into categories like it's the 1930ies?
She's incredibly attractive (and talented), Deal with it. Who the beep cares if she's African or Chinese (edit: or god forbid, something in between!)? Seriously? -

Zoe Saldana is appealing to white America because she's beautiful. Plus, quite simply, an increasing number of Black women are dating/marrying white men. Zoe being the romantic interest to a white male lead is reflective of this trend.

I agree and it is all about marketing and appealing to white America. Zoe Saldana is DIb68SGUSTING! The woman is BLACK LATINA but is not proud of her black heritage!
Bull! It is people like you who selectively choose quotes and then try and paint her as not being proud of her black heritage! There are countless interviews (and I'm sure you have seen them) where she has stated that she is black and proud to be. She also says she is Latina and proud to be. Both are okay because she is BLACK LATINA!
If you asked Will Smith if he was proud to be Black, he would say yes. If you also ask him if he was proud to be American, he would also say yes. Being proud to be Black and proud to be Latina is not mutually exclusive! -

My mom likes her, but I think she's a fake. She claims she's proud to be a Latina, but then gets all of these roles that portrays her as just black, not Latina. I feel people like her play the "black" part to gain an advantage. It's fine if she's Latina. It's a nationality, not a race. But she's going about it as if she doesn't want people to consider her as black. We all know you're not African-American, but you are a Black Latina.
Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, and The Beatles all kissed Bob Dylan's ass.
