Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Prunella Scales

    kooljerk666 — 17 years ago(July 27, 2008 04:30 PM)

I just watched this flick for the first time in many years, & "Maude" was such a stand out among a riveting supporting cast I had to look her up.
Imagine my surprise to find out it was Basils wife!!
Despite the fact I would have strangled her if I was Basil, she is a fantastic actress & Fawlty Towers could never of been the masterpiece it was with out her.
God bless you Prunella, I only know you from too few of your works but I shall certainly look for more!
FWIW you were the most interesting supporting cast member of WOLF & that performance caused me to look up what is a very impressive resume of your work.
look forward to seeing more of you,
    A true fan.
    Jay
As far a s Fawlty Towers go, I think my Favorite was the Health In spector & the one with the Moose.

If I'm not mistaken (I haven't seen WOLF in a while) didn't Prunella say the "f" word in it? It seems to stand out in my memory, because I found it so hilarious to hear her do so.
"Don't worry. I'm not on the side of the saints yet."

It wasn't the f word, but it was the "BS word, if you understand.
I thought it was hilarious for the same reason to, that it came from her!
