I recently saw this old movie on BBC Alba (BBCs Gaelic Language Network), and couldn't believe it was Prunella playing the romantic ingenue role.* I was made in 1952. Didn't realise she was as old as that. (I seem to remember recording her Desert Island Discs in the 80s when she must have been in her mid-50s - she only looked early 40s).
Nice highland accent in Laxdale Hall too. Think it's being repeated again at the weekend.

    • Fulton McKay (From 'Porridge' was her romantic opposite number!)
