Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — John Schneider

    stevefisher — 14 years ago(July 02, 2011 11:53 AM)

Back when he was working on Smallville, John was a semi regular at the local casinos. (Don't get me wrong, we're not talking hard core gambling here, just a little fun.)
One day, one of the managers had a bright idea. He sent a lower manager over to Schneider with a message. As instructed, the guy tells Schneider: "Hey, I'm supposed to tell you: Roscoe's looking for you."
John smiles slightly but plays it straight. "Not anymore he ain't."
All around, players and dealers break down howling in laughter.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I thought it was a great story of how gentle and kind he is, to just play along. He didn't make the guy feel stupid, but he still gently provided everyone with a punchline to enjoy.
Dropping him from the cast was the biggest mistake Smallville made.

Not gonna lie, that made me grin.
