He's hot, he's got a hot accent and he's a decent actor. I loved him in "Ever After" and "Mission Impossible". I just don't get it.

I don't understand either!! I fell in love with him when I was 11 in Ever After..
And I recently saw him again in Hitman, and was like WHOA I REMEMBER THIS GUY!!! And really, he hasn't aged at all! He's a natural actor.. and he's the ideal guy: tall, dark, and handsome
Why isn't he more famous?! Hollywood is very odd.. -

Blame Tom Cruise. I'm sure Scott does. At the time, I'm sure the idea of playing the second male lead in a blockbuster franchise movie with Cruise in the lead and John Woo at the helm must have seemed like a gift from heaven to the relatively unknown Scott. I bet he regrets accepting the role now though, given that a)it turned out to be such an incredibly bad and utterly forgettable movie and more importantly, b) lost him the role that would go on to make the even more unknown Hugh Jackman (who had never had a screen role outside of Australia at that point) a huge star, and which would continue to be Jackman's biggest cash cow for the next decade and four massive blockbuster movies.
Last thing I saw Scott in was as part of the ensemble, ironically enough, of an Australian made-for-TV movie - the sort of role that Jackman is now way, way, way too big to even be vaguely considered for.
I wonder if Scott has ever got together with Tom "would have been Indiana Jones but for that pesky Magnum P.I. contract" Selleck to commiserate over a beer or two. -

It's the only movie in the series, I care to see more than once.

It's like the old Johnny Carson Karnak routine.
Answer: Mission Impossible 2.
Question: Why isn't Dougray Scott a major international star?

I wouldn't be talking about JLH if my taste were as bad as your's. Her movies and TV shows have been more successful than everyone on "The Secret Circle," "Castle," and "Once Upon a Time" combined. And the fact that you actually BELIEVE that Channing Tatum is successful just because he keeps showing up in flop Rom-Coms that make no money - shows how much you DON'T know. So save your cheap criticism for those that don't know better.
"Yea,quoth he,dost thou fall upon thy face?'" As stupid as you are you must be used to that by now. -

Canute nailed it.Doug ray has had the worst luck, he was almost James Bond too except Brosnan came back for one last movie. Then he was almost Bond yet again until the Broccolis saw Daniel Craig in layer cake.
The roles he missed out on made Jackman and Craig.
