Where does she rank on the beauty scale?

I'm a male but I usually prefer other boys, so I don't really know where Jean Seberg would rank among men or women who prefer women. To me she seems like one of the most beautiful actresses ever, in the same way that Paul Newman or Keanu Reeves are beautiful men.
I'm curious where she would rank, and compared to whom. (For example, the girls on "Wild On!" may be totally hot, but as far as taste and beauty goes they would probably not rank very high.)
When I think of the most beautiful women of the '60s I would think of Seberg, Brigitte Bardot, Jane Fonda, Catherine Deneuve, Julie Christie. I'm wondering if men find these women or Seberg to be as beautiful.
Where would you rank Seberg in the movies' most beautiful women? -

I'm a woman who loves women and I don't think she was beautiful. Cute? Yes. But a looker? Definitely not. She was a bit plain.
That said, I've only seen her in Breathless.
Are you saying that real life isn't like in the movies?! -

I kind of agree with obscure_note. I've only seen her in Breathless. I have seen quite a few lists of most beautiful actresses, and which movies they looked best in, and I've seen Jean Seberg on quite a few for her appearance in Breathless. Personally I can't really see that. She was definitely cute, and classy looking, which I prefer over "hot", but she still wasn't extremely beautiful either.

Obscure noteI'm a woman who's heterosexualbut certainly appreciate beauty in everyone. I have to disagree with you completely. Seberg was not in the least bit plainshe was gorgeous. Very cute/gorgeous in Bonjour Tristesse, and just stunning as she became a little older. She's far prettier than Fonda..who was cute was she was younger. Seberg had beautiful cheekbones, beautiful eyesjust stunning.

I think that Jean Seberg is one of the most beautiful and sexiest people ever, along with Brigitte Bardot, Ursula Andress and Virna Lisi. I can't think about more beautiful and sexier blondes than these girls

Anyone who would describe Jean as "boyish" is probably the type who thinks anything with blonde hair extensions is immediately attractive. Most women look considerably less attractive with short hair, but Jean is the type of woman who would look stunning and ooze femininity if she were bald. It's especially rare to look so youthful and cherub-like and be so refined at the same time. Very few women can fit that description.

I disagree, I think most look better with short, even if it's just a bob. However you have to have VERY feminine features to pull off a pixie cut, which is exactly why Jean, Audrey Hepburn, Julie Andrews, and Natalie Portman look so good in them and Emma Watson looks so boyish and unflattering with it.
But I agree short hair does not make you boyish
I think it's extremely feminine, and long hair is not only overrated but is often very unattractive, especially when it is super straight

it looks like a curtain, and often it makes girls look like Japanese hookers or something.

I agree. Jean Seberg in PYW is breathtaking. Together with Clint Eastwood in this movie, they have to be two of the most beautiful people ever on film. I am a hetero female, btw. lol

^Haha, so true. Guys who hate short hair are always the ones who totally love unattractive women who use big hair, loads of makeup and boobs to seem prettier than they are (cough ScarJo). Short hair makes you as boyish or masculine as wearing a firefighter costume makes you a real firefighter.
However, I disagree about pulling it off. Most women, especially as they age, look great in it to me. You do need the right cut for your face but it isn't impossible. Strong faces like Demi Moore can pull it off and so can soft, babyfaces like Carey Mulligan.
Jean was gorgeous either way but looked especially good with cropped hair. It highlights a woman's femininity and her real face that makeup ad long hair tend to hide.
We're collecting dust, but our love's enough. -

I'm hetero, too, but as you say, that doesn't mean I can't see if a woman is beautiful. I think Jean Seberg and Virna Lisi are two of the most beautiful women EVER on the big screen.
