Many will say BREATHLESS, but for me Jean was never more beautiful than she was in the one two punch hits of her career. AIRPORT and PAINT YOUR WAGON.

Haven't seen "Breathless" or whatever and don't ever intend to
Why? This is a great film, a true classic and you should see it!
Her hair cut short like a boy's and cigarette smoke coming out of her ears, yuck.
There was no cigarette smoke coming out of her ears, and she looked absolutely lovely in that film! Actually, Jean liked her 'Breathless' look so much that she returned to it every time she had a need to feel more beautiful and fresh.

Some say Ms. Seberg was the quintessential Manic Pixie Dream Girl in a movie I haven't seen yet (Breathless). I think she also played an odd version of a MPDG in "Lilith". Ms. Seberg's impact in "Lilith" was especially powerful given the plot of that movie (based on J. R. Salamanca's book). If you combine Salamanca's novel with Ms. Seberg's portrayal of Lilith, you will know why I vote for that movie as her most beguiling role.

I agree with the OP! In
Airport
, as Tanya Livingston, she looked especially lovely wearing that white cape as she got into the station wagon with Lancaster in the final scene. The expression on her face is poignant, as here was the love of her life showing her that spending time with her is going to take first priority over his job. (Although why he couldn't do that for his wife in the first place is inexplicable and unforgivable!)
And in
Paint Your Wagon
she looked so beautiful, strong, sassy, perticularly in the wedding scene.
It's a shame that Seberg didn't capitalize on the success of these two films she made. But then again, her personal life at this point was in shambles.
