A movie about Jean Seberg would be very timely.

Her life seems so tempestuous and of course you are referring to the FBI's interest in her Black Panther connection, I wonder why there isn't one already. If there had been an NSA back then (was there?) they would have been watching her, especially when she quit making American films. That is surely suspicious. So sad . I loved the quotes they have here. Is there a book about her?

There is a book about Jean called Played Out. It's written by David Richards and came out in the early 80s. And in the mid 90s, there was a film about Jean called From the Journals of Jean Seberga quasi-documentary in which actress Mary Beth Hurt plays Jean looking back at her life from the dead and it's full of clips from Seberg's films, including Birds of Peru. But the film is more than just a documentary on Seberg, but also a meditation on film acting and the "radical" stars of the late 60s, Fonda, Redgrave and Seberg.

That film sounds very interesting, even if it wasn't about Jean. I hope I can find it somewhere. I will look for the book too. Thank you!
