Very good read, especially for Twilight Zone/Serling fans. What I found out that I didn't know is how much he loved his wife and daughters and how important they were to him. Ditto on how silly he could be; he loved practical jokes and had a great sense of humor. I am glad to know that he disliked the LA scene, and spent every summer with his wife and daughters at an old family cottage in the east. His home life seemed so normal, despite his fame and wealth. I cried as his daughter described his death, and her struggle to recover from the loss of her beloved father. Anyone whose impression of him was formed only from watching him on TZ, like me, would never get this impression. He scared the crap out of me as a kid! (BTW, Anne Serling writes her dad was five-foot-five, not five-four.) I definitely recommend it!

I believe he died while cutting his grass which tells you a bit about what kind of man he was. I can't imagine any hollywood personality cutting their grass today.

He may have had a heart attack while mowing the lawn, but he died on the operating table as surgeons were frantically trying to repair arteries that were beyond repair. Unfortunately, considering how far heart surgery has progressed since 1975, they may have been able to save him today.
