I dont know about his acting, tho i think he is better than Deep Roy,in Lord of the rings he was great and all the other actors said great things about him and how he was totally in control,But i had the pleasure of meeting him and he very kindly shook my hand and was a perfect gentleman.

I think they are both awesome too, extremely talented. I don't think they look all that much alike. And it wouldn't be the least bit 'creepy'. That was just rude. I would be immensely honoured to meet Deep Roy, Kiran Shah and Warwick Davies. I know I would well up and ruin my mascara. lol. And Warwick is smaller than Kiran, but he is an actor not a stuntman. Deep Roy was not CGI'd in there, he actually did each and every movement you see, the only fake Oompas were the far shots, like in the boat. You can tell the difference the puppets have darker skin, and look smaller. Watch the special features on the second disk. This new version was some the same some a bit different, but that was the point. It was fun and very excellant nontheless. You really didn't think a movie with Johnny Depp was going to be run-of-the-mill remake, did you?? I laughed more watching this movie than the earlier one. I did think that they made Violet quite a bit tooo big.

Deep Roy ruined the Chocolate Factory. I can't say he ruined a lot of the other films I find he was in - but the new Oompa Loompas proved the peril of CGI gone bad! Bunch of him running around being annoying was too much, and they all looked identical - get a clue from the other CGI work out there!!!
It almost ruined Narnia for my family - we really though the dwarf was the same guy. He did a good job in it - but I kept seeing visions of bad oompa loompas when watching Narnia (3rd time now). What a relief! Kiran is definitely the better performer - aside from the unfortunate resemblance!!! -

Good grief, I was about to post about how much I loved Kiran Shah in Narnia AND Charlie and the Choco Factory - yikes! They look enough alike to be twins. Now that is spooky
Hey, they're both from Nairobi. Surely they're related! -

"Nairobi is full of midgets","Nope, there's something in the water. Ask the bush pygmies about it".
Stupid, asinine comments like these just serve to reiterate the notion that people from the west, who are supposed to be educated and wordly, are in fact ignorant and foolish.

I'd like to thank you all for winning this bet for me. I told my buddy that I could get more than ten people to the most ridiculous (but plausible) thread that he could think of.
I also did the same thing at deep roy's page, but I only got three bites there.
So thanks for winning me twenty bucks everyone. -

I'm so embarrassed. Lord of the Rings is my favourite film, and i thought that Deep Roy was in that as a scale double for the hobbits. My mum was just watching the New Avengers when we spotted Deep Roy so i went onto the imdb to see if it was, and sure enough it was, kinda funny though he was only in one episode and it just happened to be the one that was on. it was the first time i had watched it too. pretty funny. anyway, i got really confused because i didnt see lord of the rings written there. so i looked at the comments and found that people were talking about this guy Kiran Shah and how he looks just like Deep Roy, i thought that name sounded familiar so i had a look and sure enough it was Kiran Shah, not Deep Roy, that had been in Lord of the rings.
And to the person that commented that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was ruined for them becausethe CG was bad and all the Oompa-Loompas looked the same, wake up! they were meant to look the same and the CG was in fact excellent, most of the squirrels in the scene where Veruca Salt goes down the garbage chute were in fact CG. Perhaps you should take the time to watch the extras on the DVD.
