This dude tops Jason Sudeikis as the leading average-looking male actor who has nailed the most hot chicks who should be out of his league. Kate Beckinsale, Rachel McAdams, ballet dancers, Sarah Silverman

I wouldn't call him average at all. He's very charismatic, in an Aidan Gillen sort of way. I understand these women, and I'm a woman too.

I would not call him average either, but he is also very intelligent and seems very confident and as the other poster said charismatic. Sometimes those attributes go further when picking up good looking women than just being great looking.

He's out of THEIR league. He's not only sexy but also incredibly smart, talented, funny, and charismatic. Both Beckinsale and McAdams are blah eye-candy. At least SS gives him a run for his money in terms of creativity (she's irritating/grating, but that doesn't obscure her brains and her talent).
Oh, and: You have an incredibly coarse way of looking at the world/looking at relationships.

He was cute and twinkly-eyed in Wilde.
He is very charismatic for sure. And the Welsh accent is charming when he gives interviews.
