Who would have thought that after 24 years, John Wesley Shipp would be returning to The Flash universe? Any guess on his character?

I saw the trailor here on IMDB yesterday and saw the scene when Barry's mother was surrounded by the speed demon in the Allen house as young Barry watched and as I tried to slow it down and freeze the scene when Barry and another man was present it did indeed look like JWS behind Barry.

Of course it's realistic. I'm 25 and my dad is 73. And he's still strong as an ox and looks 55.
Judging by how fit Mr. Shipp was in the original Flash, I think he'll do just fine as his father.
Interesting metaphor: he "gave life" to the Flash. -

LOL, a 35 year gap between father and son. That's not long at all. Many parents have kids in their 30's.
I always thought Laurel Lance and Quentin Lance's were closely aged, same with Malcolm Merlyn and Tommy Merlyn. -

Boy, he's got a great positive vibe. His scenes in the lab with the rest of the team in Flash 117 - let's have more of that, please. And yes, we want to see Henry reveal the fact that Barry's powers were just triggered by the explosion of the particle accelerator.
The Speed Force was handed on to him by his father. Henry Allen, the first Speedster.
JWS in full costume, running side by side with his son - now that's the stuff of legends.
