Can anybody please tell me if this guy narrates any part of The Snowman? I am POSITIVE he is the voice of father Christmas at the very beginning, but IMDb shows no evidence of this and I need proof to present to the guy who runs my local pub quiz, as this caused a very heated debate today.

I saw his name in the credits for the snowman but it's not on here.

He
is
the voice of Father Christmas in the sequel to The Snowman, so it's quite possible that he had a cameo role in the original animation.

There are a few different openings to The Snowman, even one with Bowie, and Mel Smith does indeed appear as the voice of Father Christmas in one opening.
