I think it is rather disingenuous of other people to assume he was "tired and emotional." He answered the questions with great skill and knowledge, anyone with even a modicum of sense, would realise his cognitive ability was not affected.
He has spent many weeks in hospital with a very serious throat infection. His specialists even at one point suspected cancer. Can anyone imagine what it is like to even have that suggested?
