There's no way he can look this young at 56.

I am going to see him again in AUG. If any of you get a chance to see his most recent shows..you will be amazed. I have seen HUGE>>concerts and very small ones..RICK really puts in alot of energy into his shows. You won't be disappointed.

I just saw him a few hours ago in concert, up close and VERY personal: he was standing on my table, drenched in sweat, laughing, singing and playing guitar!! I had both his handsome face and his fine posterior directly in front of me and let me just tell you all that the man has aged WELL!! And he puts on just as awesome a concert today as when I first saw him over 20 years ago when he was on the Tao tour.

I had a wonderful time!! I cried when he came on stage, just like I did the first concert. I was almost afraid to touch him when he stepped onto my table! Women were grabbing at him, rubbing him, etc and I was just sort of staring in disbelief that I was actually that close. Then I reached up and touched his hand as he moved away and I started crying again. Silly for a woman my age, I know, but he's had a piece of my heart since I was 14 years old. I can't wait til he comes around to this area again!!

He looks almost too good for his age. His hair is beautiful so thick, black & long for someone his age it's hard to believe he isn't wearing extentions or had his hair altered in some way. Does anyone know for sure?

I know that Rick colors his hair (and has done so since the late 70's), but I have never heard any inklings that he's had hair extentions or replacements.
Rick's brother Michael has good hair also, and he's the older of the two brothers, so perhaps the Springthorpe gene pool should get the credit.

Again, I direct your attention to the before/after comparison I set up a year ago:

. He HAS lost hair, and a lot of it.
Clearly, RS's hair is not as thick now as it was when he was in his 20's and 30's. Also, his hairline has obviously receded significantly from where it was when he was younger. If he were going to wear a rug, or have hair plugs, those issues would no doubt be addressed, because as anyone who's ever been to a Rick Springfield concert knows, brutha is VERY touchy about his hair.
Normal aging. Good genes. Proper diet and exercise. A good stylist. That's it.

Exactly my thoughts!
I think Rick looks good and he's about 90% natural. Everyone puts on make-up, dye their hair, do botox or similar physical enhancements sometime in their lives. So let him be. He looks good and we're all hot and bothered by him. Good deal.

ALL men? Excuse me but many Asian men like my dad who is younger than Rick by only a year has kept a very thick amount of hair, the thickness has not changed over the years (I've seen his baby pics). Perhaps you're referring to a lot of Western men but that does not equate to all men, not even all Western men!

My husband might disagree with you. He is 43 and hasn't lost any hair. Not ALL men start losing hair at age 40. (BTW I'm jealous of hubby's hair. It's thicker than mine at any age, and his grandfather hardly had any hair loss at age 80)

Yeah, well, I can post my OWN before/after comparison which proves the exact opposite:
http://www.candibowman.com/19712006a.jpg
Far from having "destroyed the adorable cupid's bow of his top lip with collagen," MY side-by-side clearly shows that RS's "cupid's bow" remains virtually unchanged (aside from NORMAL aging) since he was 22 years old!
(BTW, in case you're wondering, I took the "2006" photo, myself, on July 27, 2006; the photo IS current, and unretouched)
The "Awful Plastic Surgery" site deliberately chose a less-than-flattering photo of RS with an expression on his face which could be then be (falsely) described as depicting the results of a non-existant surgical procedure. In other words, his cupid's bow is less evident in the "after" shot simply due to the way he's tensing his upper lip. Other photos shot that same day show an unchanged, normal upper lip.
