Why does it matter that she's "a grandma"? Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi have both been dead for decades, but I don't think horror fans are going to forget them any time soon. How old someone is has no bearing on what kind of legacy they have.

More like 15.

I just recently viewed most of her best films after, by accident, seeing Danza macabra after being ask by a friend to find the original film uncut. I followed this incredible interesting movie with La maschera del demonio and Lo Spettro. I must say she has a different kind of attractiveness that is hard to explain. A stunningly beautiful woman with a natural talent for acting-in these types of films. I can think of no one else who even comes close to her-and I doubt any woman ever will. She makes an older man feel 17 again-at least for a hour.
By the way the copy of Danza macabra sold on Amazon is not the complete movie they advertize as such. I have informed them of that yet they respond with "as far as they know it is" and some bull about it having an unrated nude scene. I ended getting it from a collector that also supplied with "The Bubble"-a scifi film that is perhaps the oddest thing ever put on videotape. The original Danza macabra is complete with no lost dialect, jumbled languages or missing scenes, in the sound track. So buyer beware. -

I was able to grab Horrible Dr. hitchcock,(Il Dr. Horrible Hitchcock) off youtube and frankly, it's not a very good movie. As usual Barbara is stunning and carries the film as only she can do. The soundtrack is a mix of Italian and Spanish with English subs. I'm quite sure some of it is missing as it just seems to jump around with a plot that is lost to me.

Ahhhhh I can only speculate from someone who started this thread to make such a LAUGHABLE statement, that they have very little cinematic experience whatsoever!! Only some anxty "new" guts and gore loving horror fan would make such a narrow minded comment on a horror screen legend! (Although she was sadly typecast in horror because she is a wonderful actress) point is, no matter how many films SMZ does (and I LIKE allot of them and most I enjoy HER in them) there is NO sense, backing, or reason to come to a Barbara Steele message board and compare/shame her as less of an actress than someone who has done in your own words maybe like 15 films? Maybe 4 of which actually are even known of unless you dig to find them here on IMDB. Really? No reason to be such a rude as* hat

Moderhorrorox please see my reply to your tasteless comment at the end of this thread and please know truly KNOW your cinema AND actors/actresses since at least 1930 until today before making such a REDICULOUS statement. Have an awesome day.
