We had a polish Janitor working at our school who looked just like Daniel Stern in home alone, so the kids called him "Marv". One saturday night he met one kid in town, the kid yelled out "hi marv", and the polish janitor flipped out and hit him! I think he got fired cause i didnt see him after that. True story! Funny as hell, still laugh about it 15 years after.

Yeah thats true, I hope he is allright. Kids are cruel.
Maybe he thought Marv is a norwegian cuss/bad word or something. Or maybe he never watched Home alone, or maybe he did and really disliked daniel sterns character.

My dad looks like almost exactly like Daniel Stern. Though he doesn't hit children

jesus this is HILARIOUS. For some reason janitors tend to resemble actors. I we had a guy at the high school I used to coach at who was a DEAD RINGER for Jeff Foxworthy but I guess he never minded it as much as your Marv appeared to have.
I am picturing Daniel Stern in full Marv costume flipping out at the kid (only has Stern can flip out)..so funny!
