Stewart is popular among the college dorm crowdyou know, people whose brains are not yet fully developed. Each day, this

Again, if you watched his show daily, he went after both sides. Yes, the right could be ridiculous at times, but he also really went after the left when they were being stupid. The difference was, the people of the left he went after with his sarcasm, had no choice but to do something about it. Again, he didn't try to deceive anybody. He wasn't a supposed "news" channel, with an untruthful "fair" slogan. You knew he came from the left side of the political spectrum. But considering that he was left, he was almost too hard on the left at times, especially in his heyday.
It's comedy and sarcasm, not straight up news. Comedy usually almost always starts from the left, because it's rebellious. You can't get mad at human nature, or you'll lose every time. -

LOL. You mean meetings where Jon Stewart mostly yelled at Obama - so much so that Obama called Stewart an "a-hole" to his face - where the admin did anything they could so he wouldn't attack them on his program. That's your case closed?? LOLOLOLOL. You talk about how he was propaganda, but you're doing it many times worse. So he doesn't agree with your point of view. In the world, it's calling having a different opinion. For some reason, you want to shut down a differing opinion than yours. That's pretty anti-free speech. Are you really that anti-free speech? 238LOL. That's pretty interesting you are.

I'm not anti free speech. And I disagree with you when you when you claim Stewart disses both parties. Nohe props up the democrats and disses republicans. He is very partisan. That's my opinion. I'm exercising my freedom of speech. RU anti freedom of speech????

He did go after both parties, quite regularly. Again, you don't watch his show everyday, so you don't know. And again, no doubt he came from the left side, but that was always fully well known. He wasn't trying to deceive anybody. When you actually are trying to use propaganda, you're pretending to be fair. Like the words "fair and balanced", when clearly your news is not objective. Stewart came from the left, you knew that, but I felt he tried to be objective. And again, he's a comedian not a news anchor, so didn't even have to try to be objective, but at least he tried. But there was so much comedy material from the crazy right, you had to gold mine that. That's what you might be upset about, but what are you to do? He shouldn't try to be funny in order to appease the crazy right? That's crazy in itself.

Isn't that side fun to argue with?
First off he implies that Stewart's viewers are dumb college kids. Remember when O'Reily said that? Then they did a study that showed The Daily Show's audience had a higher IQ than The O'Reily Factor?
Then when he's called on that he says that "Stewart had meetings with Obama!" Yeah so? Didn't realize that meant they were best friends. Sounds like the meetings weren't overly friendly. And when you pointed that out he jumped to a different idiotic argument.
And again, he's a comedian not a news anchor, so didn't even have to try to be objective, but at least he tried.
Exactly. Anyone expecting news ib68n place of comedy from a COMEDY show is pretty ridiculous. Comedians are supposed to have opinions. Now people on Fox News, shouldn't be having opinions. The news is the news. There shouldn't be a slant on the truth. -

That says way more about the news industry today, then it does about anything. And if he is the most trusted news source, doesn't that say how honest his show was? What a strange negative way you have to look at things.

But how many times have I heard someone say "He's my best source for the news". That's pathetic.
I agree. It
is
pathetic that he was the best source for news. But that says more about the current state of news than it does people who watched The Daily Show. -

He only "rips" on the Democrats if they doing not enough left wing stuff. Or if they work 2 closely with Republicans. He will only "attack" a Dem if there having say a debate & the more moderate Dem is arguing with the more left wing Dem. Stewart will then "attack" the more moderate Dem.
