I hope she's okay too She's missing out on some great Maxie material. Her replacement is supposed to be there for her for 1-2 months, according to the show. Which is generally the amount of time you are in rehab That doesn't mean I'm saying she's into drugs or alcohol. It could be a vast number of things.
Kelly Monaco's twitter page put an address to send Kirsten packages and cards. Hope she gets well soon, whatever is wrong! Put your health first!

Anorexia - Pfft. people are staving and want food, yet some people avoid food. proof that humans are just idiots. Some people want to gain weight and can't, some want to lose weightnever ending cycle.

Really? I had to look it up as I wasn't quite sure what it was exactly. Sounds awful though if it is true. Poor girl.

I don't know if she has endo or not but the only way to know for sure if someone has it is to have an exploritory laposcoptic surgery done and doctors do that as a last result. I had to get an ultrasound, ct scan, and numerous blood tests done before that was even an option. And is she does have it, it can take awhile to recover from the surgery more then a month or even too. And after the surgery if the endo is removed the pain is gone or they put you on a ton of hormons so your body thinks its going through menapause. If she is pre surgery she should be in so much pain she couldn't function. Not saying this is not true just things from the show are not pointing to it actually being this.

I have also had endo and some people can function with the pain, difficult as it may be. I had a hysterectomy when I was 25, which is the only "cure" for endo. My 18 year old daughter had a hysterectomy 111cin September to cure her endo. My guess would be she either had the diagnostic laparoscopy to laser the endo or a more permanent solution and had a hysterectomy. Either way, I wish Kirsten a speedy recovery. My prayers are with you Kirsten.

Endometriosis doesn't just affect the uterus.

Endometriosis is tissue lining the uterus is found OUTSIDE of the uterus. The tissue responds to fluctuations in hormones as if it was in the uterus. It is outside of the uterus. So that people don't think removing the uterus is a cure for everyone. I had it found on my ovaries. It can grow and wreak havoc on your organs such as adhering your bowels, kidneys etc together. There is no definitive cure. I was diagnosed in 1988 and the treatment options have not improved or changed in whatsoever and I think that is very sad! I hope she's one of the ones people that find something that provides her relief and helps her quickly often it can be a very long road just to get diagnosised. I often think about her I wonder how she's done with her diagnosis.
I use of speech recognition software so please forgive any spelling errors etc.

The thing that has me curious is how endometriosis presents itself. I'm not saying it's impossible, but everyone I know that has it knew long before they were in their twenties. I knew during puberty.
It is a very debilitating disease. Most learn to function through the pain, but some can't. I lived with the pain until I was 35 because my health insurance would not pay for my hysterectomy. They wanted me to select pain management instead. I had my hysterectomy in 2006, but I had some additional endometrial growth removed in December 2008. Some people are lucky enough to have their ordeal end with a hysterectomy. Others, like me, still have some of the systems and regrowth after. I wish there was a cure for everyone, but it doesn't exist.
They say there is no proof it runs in families, but I believe it does. My paternal grandmother had it. Her youngest daughter has it, and 7 of her 22 grandaughters have it. This disease has to be hereditary.
