It's a shame…

Maybe she never became a huge "A-List" Celeb, but she seems to be very well respected in the soap community and, no, soaps aren't huge anymore, but she's a great actress and she's grown a lot in 10 years.
Without Jirsten, there is no Shelle. Spixie will NEVER make sense. Keeping the faith in Brucas. -

She does have the potential to be big in the movies, but I'd rather her stay in soaps where I can see her work all the time.

Therein lies the problem. Why doesn't she have a TV/Film career right now? The way I see it, she mentioned in an interview that she was a fan of GH. Guess where she ended up? In GH. Now with her Daytime Emmy nomination, I wonder if she will ever have one at all. In my opinion, she has what it takes to make it big, with or without a Daytime Emmy. But now it's up to her if she wants to take that next step. If she doesn't, I won't blame her, since being on a Daytime Soap is about as close as you can get to having a stable job in the TV industry.

I completely agree. I'm inclined to agree with all the individuals who say that Kirsten has had a successful acting career because she certainly has. Granted, most of that success has come from her work on soaps and many people do not have high opinions of the daytime genre, but she is a success nonetheless.
However, like

, I also find myself wondering why her career hasn't expanded into films. I remember watching her in the first Zenon and becoming such a huge fan of hers because even back then she had the talent and charisma that made her so great to watch. And she's only gotten better with age. Earlier this year she was auditioning for God-only-knows-what, and I was really excited. Although I am thrilled that she finally has an Emmy nomination (even though it's a year late), I'm just no longer thrilled with Maxie's storyline or General Hospital. I'd probably be singing a different tune if I was actually excited about the show, but sometimes I wish she would just leave and focus on a primetime and/or film career.
I used to love saying how wonderful it was to get to see her so often due to the fact that she's on soaps, but I want so much more for her. I want for more people to discover5b4 this talented beauty and come to adore her as I have for years. I don't think anybody should rule out a film career for Kirsten. It's still very possible, we'll just have to wait and see. crossing fingers"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father; prepare to die!"

Why do people keep saying that? She's still working, isn't she?
OK so she did some Disney movies when she was young. That's great it's helped her a lot and it stays in her resume. Right now she's getting a daily doze of acting experience which is vital in the acting world. She's in soaps which means she has more material to memorize in a much shorter amount of time and more episodes a year than any other TV series out there.
She's respected in the Soap world which is good.
Personally I don't think she's doing bad at all. Having a steady job and doing what you love to do for a living has to be amazing!
Another interesting and bonus of been a soap star is that you're not plastered all over the media. Meaning you get to be on TV, yet you get to keep a lot of privacy!!! -

I think that, for all intents and purposes, Kirsten Storms is pretty happy where she is. I, too, thought that after Johnny Tsunami and the Zenon films she would have a great film career, but she seems to enjoy acting in the Soaps. It may not be considered the ideal, but she still has a chance to showcase her talent and charisma, and as a previous poster said, she's still very well-respected.
