Does anyone know what happened to Sulka? I remember when she used to be in the TS magazines like
    LeFemme
back in the early to mid '80s. I, also, remember when she used to advertise in underground Hollywood papers giving makeUp, make-overs for trans-folks for something like $100 a session.
A transsexual friend once told me she met her in a West Hollywood
    queen bar
back in the '80s, and Sulka basically gave her the brush-off, denying she was in fact 'the famous
    Sulka
    .'

Nope it seems like a mystery. I here that Al Goldstein from screw magazine knows all these answers.

I knew Sulka all through the 80's. I worked at a bar called Peanuts in West Hollywood that she always came into. Her makeup was always flawless. She was always very nice to me. I haven't seen her since the 90's.

Back in the '80s, a friend of mine used to mention going to "Peanuts" when they had "Queen's Nite." I think it was on Tuesday nights, if I remember well. She told me she did see Sulka there a few times.

The Drag night was on Monday nights in the 80's. Then in the 90's they added Friday night. Best time of my life was that era. Nothing is that much fun anymore.

I know this is an old post, but when you were working at Peanuts was there another transsexual 'entertainer' 5b4that went there named Shannon? I think sometimes she would go by the name Catherine. She was one of the famous queens back in the day along with Sulka.
Remarkably, I notice she still uses the name Shannon and has a Facebook page, but she says nothing about her past in Hollywood as a she-male porn star. Today she acts as if she is very religious, but she still looks the same (which is how I recognized her, and she mentioned on a post she used to live in L.A.) despite that being nearly 30 years ago. She lives in Florida now where I think she is originally from (that was another tip off she was the same person).
