They're just quoting a "Saturday Night Live" joke, but I don't think anyone realized it. It's from a "Nadine/Nadeen" skit, Cheri Oteri's character that always says, "Simmah down, now!"

back in the 70s, when she was still living in Munich it appeared as "Sommer, Donna, Leonrodstr. 49a" (if I remember the address correctly) - it was gone in 1978, I guess she had become to big a star then
